Stari pisker, Steakhouse

The famous restaurant Stari Pisker is located in the center of Celje and offers a pleasant atmosphere. I recommend making a reservation in advance. They serve steaks, burgers, pizzas, and other dishes. We ordered beef tartare with bone marrow as a starter, a steak we grilled ourselves at the table for the main course, and their traditional dessert, banana split.

3rd year in Slovenia. 3rd year at Stari Pisker. For us "the" best Steakhouse we have been... ever. Personel is very friendly. There is a very chill vibe. The steaks are to die for. The burgers are the best in Europe (according to my son). If you visit Slovenia, and somewhat near Celje, and you like a good steak, go and visit Stari Pisker. You won't be disappointed.

Probably best steakhouse in the range of 200 miles around. Worth spending €70/person. Just make sure you book it in advance. I'm sure we'll decide for it in few years again. Been here as a student 40+yrs ago when they opened this place, the second pizzeria in town, the first one with open-fire pizzas.

Dober kilogram težak primerek (Porterhouse) je bil eden najboljših kosov mesa, ki sem ga kdaj jedel. Še posebej pljučni del je bil izjemno okusen. Čestitam za izbor! Ne vem ali je bil zelo poseben in bogat okus posledica prehrane živali, ali tega, da gre za vola iz Portugalske ampak za moj okus se le redko kateri klasičen steak lahko primerja s njim. Čista petka!

Have no words to describe this amazing food - I am a 100% fan of Stari pisker! It gets a little bit crowded in the summer, but there is always room for a hungry wanderer. :) Love it!!

“Nice place to eat”

We ordered different kinds of schnitzel and salats. I ate there 2 times together. It was fantastic, with delicious local brewed beer and quite good price. Staff are friendly and fast. As a bonus is their lava cake, which you have to try.
